Fuller and Perkier Breasts by BECA
When you picture the breasts of your dreams, are they both fuller and perkier than your breasts? Do you envision a more curvaceous figure but get discouraged when you see that your breasts look droopy and deflated, especially after getting older or having kids? If you want a top half that is both more buxom and buoyant, our combination breast augmentation with lift procedure can fulfill both of these desires. The breast augmentation with lift procedure at BECA combines the beautifying effects of both breast enhancement surgeries — adding breast implants for volume and trimming excess breast skin and lifting the breast tissue and nipple to a higher position — for breasts that look larger and more youthful at the same time.

Is Breast Augmentation with Lift Right For You?
If you are still wondering if the combination breast augmentation with lift procedure is the right one to fit your breast-shaping goals, consider the following characteristics of a good candidate for this surgery:
- Has breast sag caused by genetics, pregnancy, aging or weight loss
- Has lost breast volume as a result of genetics, pregnancy, aging or weight loss
- Has pendulous breasts that fall below the breast fold
- Has downward-pointing nipples
- Has one breast that falls lower than the other
- Wants fuller, rounder and perkier breasts
The Breast Augmentation with Lift Procedure
This combination breast enhancement procedure is performed on an outpatient basis under general anesthesia. The surgery generally takes about two to four hours to complete. The surgeon will begin by making one of the three types of breast lift incisions: donut-shaped (around the areola’s edge), lollipop-shaped (around the edge of the areola and down the front of the breast to the crease) or anchor-shaped (around the areola’s edge, with a vertical incision down the front of the breast and an additional incision along the breast crease). After the excess skin and tissue are removed from the breast, the remaining tissue will be reshaped; the breast implants will be placed under or over the chest muscle; the breasts will be positioned in an elevated position; and the incisions will be closed with sutures.
What to Expect During Recovery
When the surgery is complete, the surgeon will place you in a surgical bra that will provide gentle support to the breasts and protect the incisions as you heal. You will need someone to drive you home from the surgery center, and preferably stay with you for up to 72 hours after surgery, as you will have limited ability and will need some assistance. Your surgeon will remove your stitches during a follow-up appointment about seven days after your surgery. A certain amount of soreness, swelling and bruising is normal for the first few days. To manage any discomfort you may be experiencing, your doctor will prescribe pain medication to ensure that you are kept comfortable as you recover.
To encourage circulation and help with swelling, it is important to move around as early as the first day after surgery. Gentle walks and light movements are recommended. Avoid lifting anything over 10lbs for at least the first week. If you have an office job or a job that requires minimal physical exertion, you can typically return to work after five to seven days. About two weeks after surgery, your doctor will place you on a scar management program that will help your scars fade as quickly and completely as possible. The rate and amount of scar fading will depend on your skin type and how your body heals itself. Keep in mind it takes a full year for a scar to completely fade.
Though the recovery period requires a certain amount of downtime and patience with your body as it heals, the benefits of this combination procedure far outweigh the cons — namely, you get to enjoy the beautiful results of two surgeries with only one recovery!
