Upper Blepharoplasty

An upper blepharoplasty will remove the excess skin of the upper lid. This can be done when the brow remains high but there is still excess skin. This is a simple procedure that can be done in the office or under light sedation in the OR. Keep in mind that many people need a brow lift to reset the brow to its correct position prior to having an upper blepharoplasty.

Lower Blepharoplasty

Tired of those tired looking bags under your eyes?!? Tires of being asked why you look tired? This is often due to the fat pads under the eyes and can be easily fixed with a short surgery to remove the fat pads, tighten the muscle and lift the check pad.
The aging process of the lower lid is complicated and there are multiple different things going on in the lower lid that can make you look tired. In short, there are three fat pads under the eye and a curtain of muscle in front of them that helps to hold them back. As we get older, the fat gets heavy and the muscle gets tired and makes our eyes look tired. However, the other significant problem is that the cheek pad descends and drops away from the eye leaving a deep groove under the eye that exacerbates the problem of the lid looking tired.
To correct this entire area, there are three critical things that need to be done, remove the fat, tighten the muscle and lift the cheek pad through a small incision just under the eyelashes. The combination of these things and several other nuances can give the lower lid a much more youthful and rested look!
